East Side Goon Special: Bye Bogey Brighton

After a much needed win against Chelsea over the weekend, I was very pleased to see Arteta sticking to his guns with the starting line up. I’m sure seeing Martinelli, Smith-Rowe and Saka on that team sheet again brought joy to many Arsenal fans. And despite a slow first half, we continued this rare form to turnover a Brighton team that has plagued us since being promoted to the Premier league in 2017. I saw some good performances from individuals in this game; Saka is maintaining his weekly crud. Mari’s looking good at the back and seems like good cover for Gabriel. Lacazette is finding form in a tough season which is good to see – hopefully this sparks up Auba’s engine too. The game was scruffy at times but the most important thing was getting another win under our belt, and saying bye to Brighton. That one was for our young Gunner Guendozi. I can’t look at the table too much cause it hurts my eyes and throat but as it stands, there are 6 points separating 5th place Aston Villa and 13th placed Arsenal. Seems like this season might not be as bad as we all thought a few weeks ago. With advantageous fixtures coming our way in this winter period, can we continue this form?
